Thanks for stopping in! We want to welcome you to the Oak Ridge Baptist Church blog page. You can also visit our homepage (link above) or our Facebook group. We are seeking to serve and glorify Christ in all we do, as we reach out to our local community of Oak Ridge, and town of Kershaw, SC, as well as to the ends of the earth with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please use the links on the left below our 'profile' to "Navigate Blogs" that have been posted in the past. Hope you get to stop in sometime, so we can welcome you and worship God along side you.

Oak Ridge Baptist has been at it for 100 years (at least). So this year on Sept. 30th, during our Sunday Morning Service and most of that day, we will celebrate our 100th year of ministry in the Oak Ridge Community. During our morning service, Pastor Dale was able to get Dr. Danny (Daniel) Akins to commit to share the Word with us. Dr. Akins is the President of one our denominations most respected graduate schools, The Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. The service will be followed by a meal of fellowship. Following the meal, we will meet back in the Sanctuary for a time of singing, sharing, and testimonies. We are asking long-time members as well as former members from years past, to share a song or story from your experience here at Oak Ridge that has encouraged you in your walk with the Lord. So, please begin to spread the word and invite one and all, for the very special day in the life of our church.

It's time to stop what we are doing. The time has come to pray and sing and worship like's it's revival, because it is! Billy Wayne is coming to visit again this weekend, Mother's Day weekend. He will lead in worship and revival, with his band "Tattered Saints" as well as his 'real' stories. The times you will not want to miss: Friday @ 7pm, and Saturday (Concert) @ 7pm, then on Sunday at 11am and there will be a covered dish following the Sunday morning service. This will all be at Oak Ridge Baptist sanctuary. Hope to see you there, so you can be a part of what God is already doing in our church.
